Bringing the myth to life

For the first time in France since 1962, Val d’Isère is hosting the Alpine World Ski Champioships. This is a hugely important event for the resort. From 2 to 15 February 2009, events will unfold on the opposing, steep faces of the Bellevard and Solaise montains. A respect for the environment, a vibrant village atmosphere and free entry for all, will provide the key elements for an évent that will bring together 1000 volunteers, team members, 1500 journalists from the four corners of the world and 200 000 spectators.
