Editorial
In January 2009, we will gather at Val d’Isère for the seventh time, for a week dedicated to shoulder arthroscopy. As well as lectures, technical presentations and work shops, debates, discussions and exchanges of ideas will be organised, in order to help clarifying our ideas on the extraordinary contribution of arthroscopy to shoulder surgery. Those of you who have previously participated in the Val d’Isère course know that a friendly atmosphere characterises this event. Once again, the standard of the Faculty is most impressive. As well as Europe’s finest and our faithful American friends (J.P. WARNER et F. SAVOIE), we are very pleased to welcome this year E. FLATOW (New York), President of the American Shoulder Surgery Society, J. ANDREWS (Birmingham), who will impart his immense experience of sportsmen pathology, as well as the talented arthroscopist T. ROMEO (Chicago); A. CARR (Oxford) will verify if our convictions are scientifically confirmed, and S.H. KIM and J. de BEER will share their experience of the Asian and South African continents.
Thank you to all of those who have contributed in the past to the reputation of this course, and helped organizing it. Val d’Isère 2009 will probably be our last gathering; everything will be done so that we all share an unforgettable moment. Daniel Molé, Course Chairman
